I first experienced The Fortune Group's sales training program in 1993 and immediately enjoyed applying it to my own sales role. With the sales results I achieved I was promoted to national sales manager positions where I used both the Sales and Leadership training programs over the following 14 years.
Of prime importance, the underlying quality of the programs is first class. Steve Brown, the presenter, is an American with an obviously deep understanding of sales and leadership, who covers the material comprehensively in an engaging manner. The key, however, is transferring the knowledge and skills to the sales force.
The Fortune Group's training system is based on regional managers being easily trained to facilitate the presentation of the program to their own sales teams anywhere in the country. This means the program is customised to the industry and participants see that the material is relevant to their own situation. The program is therefore easy to implement, money is saved by not having to get the whole sales team together in one place for training and everyone gets the same instruction from the DVD or CD. To ensure follow up, participants and their managers can review the material at any time, either in groups or individually, making the program (in my experience) uniquely cost effective.
